Play Dough Recipe

Play Dough Recipe  (Cherie Lazaroff, Teacher 1977)

3 cups flour

1 ½ Tbs. cream of tarter

1 ½ c. salt

3 cups water

3 T. salad oil

food coloring

flavoring

Combine dry ingredients in saucepan.  Mix liquids in measuring cup, pour dry ingredients;  stir.  Heat over medium heat until dough begins to pull away from sides of pan.  Turn out onto board or tabletop and knead several times until smooth.  Stored in a plastic bag or lightly sealed container, dough will keep indefinitely.
