WHAT MAKES TCS KINDER UNIQUE?

Children are the focus at TCS. Teachers help each child feel capable and confident while stimulating his or her widening curiosity in a non-competitive environment. TCS believes it is the right of every child to be respected and treated as an individual. With mutual respect, children learn to share in group responsibility and develop self-discipline.

Children explore the world by working with natural materials, caring for animals and planting gardens. Creativity is developed through pretend play, music, painting, dancing, and block building. Understanding of numbers and words is incorporated in hands-on daily activities. Interpersonal skills are built by children being encouraged to resolve conflicts themselves in a positive and constructive way and by making friendships with children of diverse backgrounds.

Activities are open-ended; children work at their own pace and learn in the manner in which they are best suited. Active play is balanced with quiet play; routines are balanced with new experiences.

WHAT FAMILIES ARE SAYING...

I will forever be grateful for the positive and nurturing environment the TCS kinder teachers have provided for my daughter. As I gather my thoughts to explain my gratitude. I can’t help, but get emotional. The dynamic duo of the Mrs. B’s are everything my daughter needed this school year. From academically to emotionally they have played an immense role in my daughters life. Their patience, kindness, creativity, and genuine love for teaching has helped mold my daughter into the confident 6 year old she is today. I wish I could keep my daughter at TCS forever because of them. But they have given her an amazing foundation to her school career. That I know because of them she will succeed anywhere she goes.“One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.” - Carl Jung
