Board of Directors & Trustees
Our parent cooperative school is organized by a group of families with similar philosophies who have hired a Director to operate a school and manage professional teachers to provide their children with a quality school experience.
Board of Directors
Parents participate in school functions and elect current parents to represent the active membership on the Board of Directors, thus making it truly a cooperative venture. The Board of Directors play an essential role by creating the TCS community environment by representing the current families, upholding the TCS philosophy, mission, policies and procedures and encouraging family participation, administering community support work and supporting fundraising.
Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees consists of nine persons serving staggered three year terms. Board of Trustees typically consists of alumni or acquaintances of Tucson Community School. The Board of Trustees play an essential role in supporting and growing the TCS community by assisting with marketing, fundraising and long range planning.
The Annual Election occurs in April every year. One vote is allowed per family. Applications must be submitted before by March 16th to be considered in the April Election.
